A whole bunch of New Zealand’s premier ski fields combine with a ton of adventures and activities for everyone to enjoy.

You’ll likely be busy on the slopes in the daytime so we’ve picked our favourite apres-ski choices for things to do with children in Queenstown.

Perfect in the afternoons, evenings or even a cheeky day off.

SITE

SITE trampoline centre is fun for everyone no matter what you want to achieve. Located in Remarkables Park for you to bounce before or after you head up to the ski slopes.

Swimming

Swimming is an ideal apres-ski activity, especially for those coming down from The Remarkables Ski Area. Alpine Aqualand boasts a warming hot pool for the adults while the kids burn any remaining energy on waterslides and lazy rivers. Soak your tired legs and warm up after a day out in the snow.

Indoor Mini Golf

Looking for a warming change of pace that will keep the youngsters entertained? Queenstown’s famous CaddyShack indoor mini golf packs spaceships, gondolas and everything you can imagine into 18 holes of creativity. Open until early evening it provides a relaxing warm apres-ski activity before dinner.

Night Skiing

So tonight after skiing, we’re going skiing! Sweet. Coronet Peak hosts weekly night ski sessions from 5pm until 9pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It's not just a gimmick either. There’s one of the worlds best night ski setups on offer. Two chairlifts furnishing skiers and snowboarders with a selection of floodlit groomers keep you going lap after lap.

Frisbee Golf

A funky cost-effective option that is heaps of fun, plus its way easier than normal golf. Hire a frisbee from a selection of sports shops in town and stroll down to the course in Queenstown Gardens. It’s free to play and follows similar rules to golf as you know it. Get the frisbee in the hole/net in as few shots as possible.

Farelli’s Trattoria

One of our favourite family food spots is Farelli’s. Skiing all day and maybe even some night skiing or a session on the trampoline? There’s going to be some hungry folks around once the sun goes down. Easy going Italian grub will refuel you for tomorrow’s adventures. Sit back and enjoy fresh Italian bread, delicious handmade pasta and freshly rolled pizzas all made in-house daily.
